not much to say but that it will have all the usual stuff i put in maps plus a few extra things
inspiration comes from cairo station in halo 2 but im not trying to copy it, only taking a few ideas from there

I always like your use of lighting and SMs in your maps and will keep a check on this thread to see how you progress.
here is finished exterior
its bigger than it looks since the full interior isnt done so most of the areas are dark and you dont notice them unless you look closely
but i think with full interior, this will definately be up there with asteroid base in the size category

it would seem the editor's hatred of cool maps has fully revealed itself to me, i do not even know if i am able to finish this map
no matter how many times i save and/or build all, there are tons of crashes, and i have tried until i am so pissed i would throw my comp out the window, save the fact that this is lucasart's fault, not my comp- for crying out loud, theres a zone that is completely closed off by portals and yet it is acting as though the portals did not exist, i can barely believe i actually finished the second control room, yet i didnt get as many static meshes in as i wanted. i just dont know what to do with this peice of crap editor
so anyways im uploading the beta, which may be the final version, but it leaves out so much i wanted in

I feel for ya.... I have had sooooo many maps ruined by this honkety honk honk piece of crap LA has the courage to call an editor.
i haven't---ERR, I MEAN...YEA, COMPELETELY, FELLERS! well,UE never been bad to me really, just glitchy. over my career of around 10000 x 10^-4 maps.

On a Build I reached Terrain Arrays and then it bugged out for me and crashed UE.
I opened the map again, opened another UE application and copied everything and pasted everything over. Doing this allowed me to Build and Save. However, all the custom textures will be lost and will need importing again.

I tried opening the original map again but on this occasion it did a Build and Save just fine. I added a speeder to make sure it would still accept new stuff and go through the Build/Save process.

The original is saved as you uploaded it and the one without the myLevel textures has no. 3 at the end. I hope one of them will build and save in your editor as there's a lot of work in your map.[/img]

I think I'm going to get into a habit of making more backups at varying stages. I'd hate to have the same thing happen.
I really liked the effect you got with the doors opening. The black shiny texture looks great and it feels like a functional blast door.
yeah that was a design i made for asteroid base, only retextured, i figured it would be cool to use the shiny texture this time because its hard to tell where the cracks in the door are and so it looks more advanced or whatever you want to call it
btw i made 5 versions of space station when all the crash crap happened and i did tons of saving on all, not like that helped tho

no, but if all goes well with UE it will be soon
i did not test enough the last time, apparently it never was working again, when i try to add new rooms, it crashes, whether im building, saving, or just looking around
if you dont mind doing so, i can send you schematics and maybe you could complete it for me (this goes for whoever is willing to do so and is a good modder)
well took all the files i figured i needed for UE and put them on my better computer that used to play RC on but then everything screwed up which is why i dont use it for RC anymore
it seems i can edit there without any problems but i guess we will have to see but for now i am able to make this thing again and hopefully can get done soon

An epic map of awesome scale with some great unique touches. I love those blast/pressure doors and the fly over. This space station has everything it needs to provide for a space dwelling community.
There's a lot of work put in here and it'd make a great conversion to SP.
