Hi i am making my first map and i want it to have a small house structure in it. i have never used the editor before so from what i have read my gut tells me to add a block into my empty space then subtract the inside of this block. is there another way to make buildings or is this the only way?

arramus

'Subtract' a large block which will act as your 'World'.

Then 'Add' some blocks inside the subtracted block as your walls. You can manually construct a building block by block this way.

In addition, there are many prefabricated structures called Static Meshes. These have been made on an external application and imported into the game. Some of these are already houses, etc.

Open an existing map like West London in the editor and take a look at how they made it. There are very many Static Meshes in there which allows for complex architecture and smooth game play.

feels effective to me, thank you :) static meshes are the only thing i need to give make my map feel complete. it already feels quite fun to play in
