Title: Importing static meshes
Post by: explode on January 27, 2007, 06:34:48 AM
I just wanted to know how to import SM's from other unreal powered games.
I tried just copying and pasting, but that didn't work, so, could someone tell me how to do this?
Thanks in advance!

Hmmmmmmmm.... maybe...maybe...nah, i got a blank. i don't think you can because... wait a minute... i think i got it... open up the other directories under SM's copy entire categories (would they be same file type?) and then paste into RC categories might work... i dunno :D

That might work. But the way that I know will work is by converting the SM to a bruth and then exporting the brush in unreal text code, and retexturing it in RC.

But I don't acltually have the game, I just got the demo and some custom mesh packages, so I can't do the brush thing...
I already tried simply copying and pasting, but that doesn't work at all..
If I try to open the mesh package, UED just crashes, as always....
*flips off LA for their but holish game developing*
