oh yeah that's something i just realized. DON'T LISTEN TO ME. don't import it to your own package because then you have to include it in your map release. lol
#33
dimensions is how high and how wide the picture is. you can find that by opening the properties of the picture in my computer and clicking on summary.
#34
what dimensions are your pictures?
#35
have you seen my map assaultship zone yet? there are some star wars movie posters in there.

whoa nice skyzone arramus in dunes. and excellent rendition of the Sarlacc Pit.

oh and if you import a picture, i would change the package name to a new one, so you have your own package. and then save the package once you imported the picture.
#39
if you take your .jpg picture, open it in some picture program, and save it as a bitmap picture (.bmp) you will be able to import it.

to scale a staticmesh, go to its properties, then Display, and either change the value under drawscale to something else to scale the whole thing, or go to drawscale 3D to scale individual dimensions.

does your file end in .jpg?
#41
are your pictures you wanna import in bitmap format?

if you want to import textures, you have to make them be in .bmp format with both dimensions a binary value (64x64, 128x128, 256x256, 512x512, etc).

if the map you downloaded had a texture package attached, open the map you're working on, go to textures and go File - Open Package (its somthing like that) and open the specific package of textures.

I assume you mean like Bactaweek textures?
#43
what formar and size do you have your custom pictures in for importing?

sorry i don't know how to import music or sound or whether or not there is a converter. all i know is, even when I matched my import audio to the correct .wav specs, it never imported at all. :(

i think some people had the "bumpmapping problem" using xp, too.

tricky. i'll try

i find i learn a lot of cool stuff by exploring both campaign and MP maps.
