Thats how I'd do it as well. Unless you can find an XWeather Actor someplace. It would do it better as it effect just one zone, then you can use volumes to stop rain/snow from falling where you don't want it. But I sure couldn't find it in RC.

The other option is to use a Static Mesh, it will give better performance, and could be made to look just as good. They did this in Killing Floor for Rain on a level. (but I can't remember what level atm...arramus might?)

When I get a chance I'll post a few ways you could do snow. There is also a way to make the effects work in MP, (its pinned in one of the forums I believe)

A snowball thrower instead of AA? :P

Hmm what about snow falling on the map? maybe with the visor getting bits of snow as well.

The point being you have to decide. I like the game, and I know many other people that like the game.

The people I know that don't like the game, don't like it because of the targeting system, you have to use ironsights. If you try and play without ironsights your just wasting ammo. You also have to actualy play as a team, splitting up with everone going thier own way will get you killed quickly.

They have a demo, give it a try and decide for yourself.

I will very soon be adding the Update page for the downloads section. This page will allow you to update most of the information that you submitted with the map. It will also let you Remove (completly, or with a redirect) for use when needed or desired. I just need to finish up the script, and I'll let you have it.

Next I am thinking of adding a Texture Gallery, you would be able to upload your own textures, for use in games. It would be required to be a multiple of 2 (so it will work with all Unreal Engine games) and there would be a warning about adding copyright textures (from existing texture sites, or games). I am thinking it would be your standard Image gallery, with thumbnails, then a larger view (with information) and then a download link for the full resolution.

What are your thoughts on a Texture Gallery? I think it could be useful, and I want the site to grow bigger so covering this would be the next step.

Just going to through this out there again.

I'll bring up a server, if we get the donations for one. If anyone is interested in donating just post here, and I'll get a new page for donations set up.

As far as maps for the server goes, we could run mappacks like we did last time, or a combination of mappacks and new releases. We could also run a mod (with certain requirments that I have set)

We are to busy with KF? Because we don't make tutorials for RC anymore? We haven't made a tutorial for KF in a year either.

I don't see a point in making tutorials about how to do everything, sometime syou have to get creative and figure it out, or for Single Player stuff, load up a single player map and see how to do it.

Having a tutorial about how to do everythign possible would be both impossible, and generic (everyone just working from the same tutorials)


I spend more time working on this website, and implementing new feature, than I do on any game.

I'm working on user submitted tutorials, but I'm not sure how to do it in a way that won't be confusing. I hate wasting my time, making something that people don't use, and so thats how I decide what I'm going to work on.


Darklord does have the permissions to add tutorials.

You can try removing the unrealed.ini file (or something named like that in the system folder) move it to the desktop then start unreal editor. It'll generate a new ini with default values.

Usualy if nobody replies it means nobody knows, and not that we are ignoring you.

Also meaning don't post the same question over and over again.
