When are they going to bring a new update? (I mean what's up with SWRC:PA)
#4
My friend got some real life problems and couldn't continue the new version. Anyways, he sent me the last save of 3.0 so it's just an update of 2.3 with a new skin and some new options.

Only downloadable from here: //http://www.filefront.com/14778511/ServerLauncher-v3.0.exe/.

Sorry for this.

PS: He probably did not corrected all the bugs.

Quote from: "Danny"Any updates on server launcher?
I posted a message there 2 days ago for the 3.0 version which is done but I rapidly deleted it, because there was an error.

This should be up soon...

1) There is the Sandcrawler mappack:
You also can download the TX mappack, there is a server running with these maps and it's pretty active.
//http://www.tx-gaming.net/?page_id=147

2) There are some weapons you must not use the following weapons (called 'noob weapons'):
Rocket Launcher
Concussion Rifle
Heavy Repeater
DC-17 Anti-Armor
Sonic nades
EC nades
These are considered as unfair weapons.
To join a clan, you need to post an application on their clan site (usually). You can play with the clan members and post screenshots, so they can value your teamwork, your skills and your behavior. It is often a vote system.

3) There are not events anymore, but you clan play matches sometimes that are very fun. 1on1 tournaments are sometimes organized though.

4) Biggest european clans are RedCell (RC), TeamXtreme (TX), ModernArtz (MA) and RealReplubicPlayer (RRP). Some of them have more than 100 members (TX and RC). Of course there are smaller clans and I didn't quote the US ones (ReiGn, etc.)

5) Matches are rarely above 12 players (6vs6). We usually play 3vs3 on DM_Engine, it's way the most used map for clan matches like de_dust2 for CS:S.

6) Depends. If you like playing on public servers, all the game types are played (my favorite is Deathmatch).
Scrims are CTF, because it trains a lot your teamwork, your strategy and your atk/def skills, and TDM.

If you have any question, just add my Xfire: judgmentt.

Hey IronJaw,
There are lot of tutorials here that explain how to make maps and share, you can find them here:

Yeah, you need to open some ports in your rooter for people to see your server.

You have lot of informations about this in the Trouble (Launching menu > Help > Trouble and read the 7th chapiter).
#12
Make your own server, open the console and type in 'switchlevel your_map'.
Of course you must open the right ports so your friend can join your server.

Your map is saved in the default Maps folder (C:Program FilesLucasArtsStar Wars Republic CommandoGameDataMaps).
Look for your map file (the_name.ctm) and send it to your friends (they have to place it in the same folder).

Quote from: "Sandcrawler"Looks like a nice toll for anyone running a server.

I had an Idea for the maplist, but I don't know any programming lauguages...well ones that don't require you runa  server with php and mysql :P

My thought was to have a simple program that scanned your /maps folder and made entries on the XmapList. I'd probably just let it reginerate each time, as this would be ran as often as the user wanted...or not wanted.
Looks like a really cool idea, we meet tomorrow so I will ask.
