2nd round of screenines, unfortunately the cantina is not going to be in the center. i was trying for an old western town look and i saw a street with buildings lining it :P to even the map out i plan to have a jail/sheriff building next to the completed building (now blue base) the cantina is next to (not across) red base (that added box i dont think is in the screenshot) i also managed to find some kickazz skybox pics and it goes great with the theme, however they skyrocketed the size of the map, 27 megs now.

Just an update, been wasting all my time working on Emitter Collisions ugh! :roll:

well im not sure, but look at the bottom of 'Hidden' in the properties, if Role is there try setting it to ROLE_SimulatedProxy. That made Emitters show up for clients so maybe it will work for sounds too.

well since we found a way to make emitters work for the player, i have a dust emitter in which is blowing dust across them map. However the dust also goes through the building, and looks pretty cheezy :roll:. any idea?

I was messing around with how to make emitters visible to clients and i found this out. Also if you wanted more ships to fly around, you can increase the # of particles emitted at one time. By setting RespawnDeadParticles to true, it automatically will send out a new particle as soon as one dies...or soon after.

I am currently designing a Western style...cowboys and Indian style map. Not so much the Indian part...but Old west. I am just getting started and i'm sorry i don't have some screen shots...but right now it is barely anything :P I may make it into a small CTF map and have the flag in the buildings, which means some close-quarters stuff. The buildings are all added and subtracted rectangles and it is very confusing and takes some concentration to understand wth i'm doing. I expect it to take awhile especially since i don't know totally what i'm doing. I know mine is going to have a Cantina!
Heres your first screen, like i said, i'm not very far in. Just making the building takes some time. The building has 2 levels and a few windows. I plan on lowering the entrance cover since it is very high and doesn't feel very cozy.

This is very simple to do and it can add a nice flare to your map. Down at the bottom of 'Hidden' of you particle system properties change the Role from ROLE_Authority, to ROLE_SimulatedProxy. This will make the Emitters visible to clients in MP games. That simple and yet it took us so long to figure it out :P

hey guys long time no seeee..

looks like your getting alot of knowledge of the editor and all that jazz but just popping in wondering....."How to give a Trando a gun?" Trying to add AI in my map and may want to modify what type of gun it has...or add one on him if he does not start with one. Thanks a bunch :)
