yet another map i decided to make, this one is a base in a jungle area at night
jungle has pretty high foliage, so it should be fun to play around in, then there is a bunker entrance that goes down into a room that will lead to some others (yeah i havent finished all my planning yet), but ive made a real cool reactor room (one of those great places for anyone who like heights) then theres going to be a sub dock in one area, ive made a custom static mesh for the sub, so u cant go inside, were i to try making an interior i would be begging for cuts from the pathetic editor, so yeah... anyways, bunker halls and stuff is meant to be more military feeling than some of my other underground base maps, cuz im trying to kinda create a endor shield bunker feel in a few areas. anyways, other features may be the usual stuff you have come to expect me to put in a map, and theres a higher place in the jungle area that can only be accessed by first going inside the base (like how missilebase works) up there will be sandbags and stuff to snipe the unlucky ppl below, and some gunships, or grievous' ship

here is a screen of the sub floating above the jungle (lol i havent made the dock area yet but i wanted to try the thing out so i just stuck it in the sky). below you can see one of the terrain probs im having: retarded dimly lit squares in random places- if anyone knows how to fix that crap plz tell me

there will be railings later, and a passage to a 2nd, empty sub dock. other than that i dont think theres much more im going to add to what you see here

outside area, below you see a bunker that overlooks the main entrance, above is a landing pad where an elevator comes up from the base, and behind it is a small gunship hangar

great works dude! i wish i could map like you, when i do map i focus on detail and so that last screen of yours would be my favorite and screens like that inspire me to keep trying. You are a truly gifted moder. Can't wait for the release and the start of your next map!

thx, this map i have really tried to force myself to not be lazy and put alot more detail into it, so i think it is definately turning out to be my best one because of that.
if your attention stays primarily on detail, then thats a good start and you can probably make alot better maps than some of my earlier ones where i was so lazy, just keep trying, every modder doesnt start with the best maps ever of course ;)

yeah, and to be honest i have played threw the campaign at least 3-5 times just for ideas and as i play i pay attention to how lucas arts used the static mesh's together to create an almost "realistic layout".


something tells me you would be a great SP mapper if exposed to it since most of your maps are more "explorable" to me then a real DM/CTF map. You come up with great, genius, and unique complicated layouts that i always love to explore for up to an hour to an hour and a half. If you just added some squad markers, pawns, and path nodes your maps could go to the next level. (im just getting started with AI. If you wish to continue MP moding would you care if i made your previous maps into SP's?) :P

nice map, good layout. i liked it though i was disappointed that you left out the secret army/spot like your last map >.>

(i don't count the execution room, was too easy to figure out :P)

but it is my hardest-to-find-out-how-to-get-into secret yet ;)

3 doors to open to get in
but ull never find all those triggers will you? :P

Poo, you fooled me, but it is to make it look kewl. My unreal editor doesn't work, I can't open anything, the thing where you see the map, it is white, idk how to make the white go away.

ZOMG i got two doors open for the armor, though i can't reach the last one *cough* by water *cough*!!!! i won't spoil it for the rest of you but DL it was very clever of you to change the image of the triggers ;)

though i was smart enough to search for actors!!!!! ^^

YES, I found the switches, know how to get to them. But, there are screenshots of the weapons, but Dark Lord, the large gun in the middle I can't pick up, I came across the clone dropship beam...I can't pick up the middle gun.

the ATTE and gunship guns are weird, sometimes you will pick them up, other times you cant
just try hosting the map multiple times

i hate arena combat, being forced into fighting as soon as you spawn. theres no strategy, no hunt or sport, just skill alone... i like big maps so much because not only can you goof off on them very well or just hang out, but when you fight you are able to use lots of stealth, and thats the way i love to play- ambushing, stalking, etc.

many downlaods on this one, (before the download section messed up...) i personally think its my best map...but ull find random servers hosting it now and then.
u can still download it at that link in my sig though
but i like downloading other peoples maps, even if i dont like its concept, or in most cases think they are too small. but i just like to use them for inspiration and some i find pretty fun to play...and if ur in a server then u dont have to leave everytime someone doesnt play your map or a default one :)

its a 2 part file with the map and some textures that i believe were made by sulfied shrike (someone correct me if im mistaken) that i used for the water
the .ctm goes in you maps folder, while the .utx goes in your textures

the file is a .7z which opens with either winRaR or 7z itself (google to download, i used this because 7z compresses better than anything else ive used and the file is around 111 MB by default)

i had taken down all my maps at one point either because they were not good or i felt that did copyright infringement due to some of the textures i used (such as blue carpet in DTSHQ and others and then the origional Dark Lord Logo seen in Space Station which was in part taken from warhammer 40000) but after becoming more familiar with modding communities and the like, i dont think it will be a problem as long as im giving credit where it's due
rather than reposting all my maps though, i felt i would just repost the ones people want, but anyways all the maps are:

ah thank u v much darklord yeh its dtshqv2 i got . it and especially spacestation are amazin. works of art. yeh i like sulifiedshriek style he made hunting ground nic map. its also not so easy to get. i found it recently and i must hav dloadd it jan 2007 r sumthn and it was 2clikinstallers which i made into 1.i was happy. ah man i cant wait to chek your mapout. yippee. the force is strong in you darklord. chhhhhhhoooooooooo  :evil:  8-)

I'd like to see them added here again.

You can add them now as well.

Just log in, go to the Downloads section for RC, then click Upload fiels first, upload any file (compreed files and screenshots).

Then go back to download and click Add a File or something liek that and there will be a form with all your uploads loaded in.

thanks sandcrawler ur a gent and i know u dont play rc anymore. kf mainly and u reorganised the site major late springclean soto speak. so much to do so little time... :D  this to me is THE rc modders haus.and should always be even if u and arramus are doin diffrnt stuff. :D

also, SC if you could check on the map area for me - when i go to the downloads area and click on my name, no maps show up (even though the link above shows up fine)

I fixed it, just because it was darklord on the list instead of Dark Lord.
