Projects / Defence of earth

I've just had an idea for a large SP campaign. An alien droid attack on earth. Delta squad (or any other Commando squad) is dispatched to follow the advance droid attack transport, "neutralize" and defend the planet. It turns out that the CIS are trying to expand their reach and sent a small army (large enough to wipe out a planet) to the furthest inhabited planet in their knowledge. My ideas for the story are as follows;

          Prologue: Clone squad boarding Indurance Transport, no one knows each other, hence the hostility between characers throughout the game. Enter chryotubes (visor frosts over(i don't know if this is possible, only hoping :D)).

          Chapter 1)    Attack
                      Part I) Crash on earth, in a grassy field with cows (again, only hoping :D) which confuses the clones. 7 out of 10 clones suvive the crash (4 commandos, 3 normal), but after a long journey they go mad and two normal clones blow each other up, while one runs off to melee attack the cows. he only gets half way before a droid dispencer falls on him from seemingly nowhere. Several more land and the game begins. Your only working weapons are the DC15s Side Arm Blasters. The twist is that, because you all hate each other, the commandos don't follow your instructions and you have to get the droids yourself. After each dispencer is destroyed, a commando comes to your aid and slowly your team is built.

                       Part II) After telling off the team for disobedience, you track down another clone landing party (another commando squad), but they are not as mentally strong as your team, and are killing each other with their hands  :twisted:. From the crashed transport, you gain all of the clone weapons (Or just some. Tell me what would be better, getting them all at once or gradually.) There is another attack but you are prepared.

                       Part III) Trying to track down other clones, you stumble into a Human city, and get strange looks from the inhabitants. An Anti-terrorist squad arrived and you are fired on. You try to get your group away, but Sev and Scorch (thier replacements) are looking for a barmy and open fire on the A.T.S., you and your teammate. The objective it to retrieve a new weapon from a dead human attacker, a DC-17 attachment which fires tranq. darts (The F.A.N.G. (Friendly Attacker Neutralizing Gun)) and incapacitate first your team mates and then the A.T.S. squad. There is a time limit for reinforcements. Pass the time limit and you get mowed down in a firing squad style.

                       Part IV) When dragging the bodies away into a nearby office building, you walk into an under cover droid factory. You need to perminantly disable the factory and cleanse the area. Not much to say here, except you are 2 commandos down due to tranqs. and one is carrying them. You don't need to see this as you go forward on your own.

                        Part V) After taking out the main console, some A.T.S. members enter, are attacked and, if you save over half of them from droids you gain the respect of the humans and are allowed to tell your side of the story.

                                  NON-PLAYING SCENE Around a table with the squad and human representatives. Through communication, you find out more about your companions backgrounds (need some suggestions for this) and that the humans have been aware of the droids for a few years, but were about to begin a rebellion.

                         Chapter 2)   Defence

  This chapter will just be protecting various earth locations from droids with "some" human support, occasionally running into clones. During this section, Sev's replacement cloggs one of the factory mechanics with his own body :twisted:. He is replaced with a human elite soldier ( Nitro Designation:C4)At the end of this chapter you find a large droid transmitter used for nearby space comm.s . You use this to group all incoming transports to your location.

Chapter 3)
After attacking the comms array, you discover that the droids set up a main base on "The Dark Side of the Moon"(original or what!  :)), waiting for the following transports to overtake them. You order incoming transports to rendevous on the moon, and gather a strong attack group in 4-5 transports. you lose all but your transport and one other. After landing, you fight your way to the command centre, both losing and gaining reinforcements. at the command centre, you are cut of from the small army by blast doors. There's the usual pish posh with droids, ending in a boss batle...

The details of which will be disclosed to any main helpers I get for this mod. This will be the biggest project I've under taken and i need the following:
 I need a skinner who can do human civilians, the A.T.S. soldiers and Nitro
 I also need either some one who knows how to do a SP map and help with pathing or tell me how in simple laymans terms.
 And someone who can help do skyscrapers/urban buildings and factory interiors.

I've just started editing on RC editor on vista and it works, but is definately slower than XP and crashes more.
