Title: Lighting

I was just wondering what everyone prefured to use to light their maps?

So far on this map i'm working on I like placing each light where I want it, don't know another way to make half the map lit.

check out the zoning tut about making only half a map lit. i personally, like very little ambiant light, and more scattered lights, you know?

Yes, because thats the only way :)
There are also zonelights, but use them at very low brghtness. Like 10-20 but NOT more. ZoneLights dont cast shadows and look very ugly.

Ah yea i noticed ambiant lighting was for the whole map so i looked around for what i am using now :P

I actually place each individual light in all my maps. But since my maps are usually dark its not as time consuming as you think. :wink:

yeah i usually place them individually throughout my map. Because on the trando side, I put red light, and on Rep side, blue light. But sometimes I use ambient for outside maps, because suns give me trouble  :cry:
