How do I make it so that my mod has it's own separate folder?

Take a look at M3rl1n's SP Map and the way it's files are packed.

or the Sandcrawler Mod which I based on M3rl1n's setup.

There's a separate folder within gamedata that can pack properties, textures, etc, a new .ini file in the Systems folder with links to the files the mod needs to load and a desktop shortcut that boots RC using the modded .ini as an extension.
