Post by: Danny on May 20, 2008, 10:34:06 PM
How do you import pictures into maps (e.g. the DS pic on the bacta week maps).

Also once you import them how do you place them in the mpa, lkie on the wall or floor or sumthing.

Um it something like File > Import  in the texture browser then you pick you package and the group, mylevel is easyest unless you have a bunch of them.

This tutorial covers how to apply textures:

but you have to convert them into 256x256 or 512x512 etc.
also, make them .bmp because it won't take the most of the extensions

ok you go to the textures-screen, go to "File", then to "Import...", select your file, which should have a resolution like 256x256, 512x512, 768x768 etc. and give it a name.
you call package "myLevel", group the name of the folder in your package and name just the name you want to give to your texture.
after doing that you click on the small arrowlike icon in the textures-screen and a list unfolds, starting with ArenaTextures, ambient_textures and Assaultship_Textures etc.
then you scroll to myLevel in the list, click on it and use the texture you imported.
