Missing files in cd?

I bought the game at EBGames. When I bought it and put it into my pc I put in my serial key and started the download. Halfway through of course it asks for my cd2. I put it in but it says it can't find my data2.cab. I asked around and there is supposed to be data.cab's 1-6. and I had non of them in the cd?

Any body got these files? Or knows a solution to my problem.?

Sorry I can't remember...I do know that I think this was a common problem. Just not how to fix it. :(

Has anybody ever thought of putting up the files on mediafire or something,I have done so to give some freinds a few mods. Its free and so easy. Care to help a guy out? Anybody?

Hmm what is exactly ure probleme , during the installation or during to trying to launch installation ?

Have you try to make a copy to ure DVD on ure computer disk ?

it can be a probleme to the name of ure "lecteur"DVD or disk computer ( translate in english it's french ^^ )

It is actually during installation. It asks for disc 2,I put it in and it says data1cab is missing please put in cd with data1.cab. I asked around on other sites and they said these files contain important parts to the game installation.

I they said the only way to fix this is to copy all files to your pc from the cd 1 and 2. I did.

Then get these files that im missing and add them to the correct folder. Burn onto a cd and that can be used as your new cd 2. Sadly I can't find the files anywere...

Can't you take it back to EBGames and tell them the CD is corrupt/unstable and get a replacement?

You can always get RC directly from Steam and fore go the whole CD installation business if that's an option.

yes your CD/DVD is corrrupted , you can play this game into 2 choice :

by steam just get CD key on steam
or download torrent repcom and get ure key during installation or by regedit ;) i will explain to you if u want by torrent ;)

I would like some details on these options. I was thinking of torrents but thought if I can fix my problem I might as well do so.

I did take it back to EBgames but it was on sale. They don't take back on sale pc games older than 2 years.

Ultimately I'd like to see Steam allow us to link our CD Keys their so we can download and play without the need for CDs. A number of game companies have already allowed this so let's hope LucasArts also implement it.

In the meantime, join the Star Wars Republic Commando Patch Appeal (SWRCPA) http://steamcommunity.com/groups/SWRCPA where we are asking for that feature.

for play without CD/DVD download a nocd.exe ( same icone as repcom but don't need cd and no " virus " )

Hmm if u want by torrent download it and then translate please i can't tell it in english :

clique sur demarrer , sur executer et ecris ensuite regedit
lÃ une fenÃªtre s'ouvre avec une arboorescence de dossier et de fichiers dans ces dossiers ,

va dans le dossier software en cliquant sur le petit (+)
recherche lucasarts , republic commando clic sur le fichier 1.0

et modifie Ã droite le champ " key " par ta clÃ© ;)

if it's just a simple error try to make a copy to your 2 DVDs by a software ;) , alcohol120% or other ( free u can't i think hmm dl torrent it X) ) after u just need deamons tools to open the DVD copy files to instal it ;) , i do that and it's great ;) , more speed
